Dear Sir, Madam, Fellow Friends and Sliderule Comrades, I am so touched by the many many kind people amongst you who have gone out of your way to send assistance, warm wishes and kind prayers to me in this my moment of existential challenge. May I state how privileged and honoured I have been to be on the receiving end of so much generosity and kindness. I am truly overwhelmed. With the knowledge of such strong support from all of you, I shall endeavour to demonstrate uncommon defiance, courage and energy in my struggle against what would be - by any standards - a deadly challenge. I shall be in the eternal debt of all my comrades here. Warmest Regards, Fooch

100% of all bids goes directly to help our friend Mr. Foo fund his fight against Myeloma. All of us in the slide rule community know him, and his tireless efforts to help re-discover slide rules lost to history. He has single-handedly retrieved thousands of forgotten rules and sent them off to very happy collectors world wide. Now he can really use some help from us to cover the bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy he needs to try and control his serious Myeloma (cancer of the blood's plasma cells). Foo would never ask for any help, and is semi-mortified that we are doing this, but we understand what a huge burden this is for him and his family, so we need to do this for our long time friend and comrade, and hope you are able to pitch in.

You can bid on anything here by the email link, or just by picking up the phone, and calling (250) 769-1834 during normal office hours, 8am to 5pm, PST. We process VISA/MC orders immediately. You can also send your bids by FAX at: (250) 769-4106.

SHIPPING: Canadian ExpressPost (NOT regular mail, this is like US Global Priority/Courier) Rates: To USA destinations, shipping and packing minimum of $23 for any insured, trackable air shipment up to 1kg (typical delivery within 5 business days), Canadian destinations are typically $10-14 (delivery within 2-3 business days). It is also possible to ship uninsured, untracked, small packets (250g max.) for roughly $12-14 to the USA, but delivery delays can be up to 8 weeks according to the US Postal Service, and so we cannot recommend it. Virtually all of our shipment failures have been because of this method, so it should be used with caution. We have an extraordinarily good success rate (better than 99.9%) with ExpressPost, so we highly recommend it, especially for one-of-a-kind items. It is cheaper than couriers, trackable, more reliable, fully insured and goes almost everywhere.

Shipping/handling to Europe, Australia, South America and other overseas areas via Canada Post International ExpressPost air mail insured service or Canada Post International Air Service where ExpressPost is not offered is $51.00 for parcels up to 500 grams/1 pound. Shipping and packing via regular mail to these locales is $22.00 for parcels weighing up to 500 grams/1 pound. This service offers no guarantee, insurance or tracking and we then accept no liability for loss or damage. Transit times are unpredictable by this method.

E-Mail Susan if you want a quote for shipping to other destinations, or for something heavy. Sorry, we can't safely send individual small parts in a regular letter envelope, they get destroyed by the automated handling equipment.

We can also ship FedEx or UPS when time or weight is critical, and over-night FedEx P1 shipping is available. Note that our pick-up cut-off time is noon for FedEx. There is a packing charge for large equipment, see the FAQ for details. If we have your valid data on file, you can just click on the ORDER email link to place an order and indicate your approval to bill, and we will do the rest. To bid on any item here, just click on the email link at the item, and we will record your bid that evening. Bid whatever you like, as long as it's at or above the opening bid, we post whatever you send us. Because this is done manually, we have no way to proxy bid, so keep that in mind. We post your bid amount as received.

The highest bid at of 9pm PST, the closing time of the auction, wins. If the high bidder defaults, we pass to the next highest bidder, and he/she never gets to bid here again. Tough darts.
