To make your life easier, and help you find exactly what you want, we have broken the on-line slide rule catalogs into smaller sections. Just CLICK on the icon of the rule type you are looking for at the left, to see the matching catalog. Large graphical catalogs are a bit SLOW, please give them time to load.
These are unusual rules, or from unusual makers, and especially interesting to collectors or serious users. Generally, these are in very limited supply, often only single units, and infrequent finds. To answer your questions, YES, we completely clean and inspect all used rules, and do not offer any we feel are substandard. If there are any marks or detracting features, we clearly state them in the listing. Before shipment, we clean the rule faces and cursor, the slide guideways, align the body, and align the cursor. We also clean and polish the case, so that when you get your rule, it is as ready as possible for you to enjoy.  We accept Visa/MC or Int'l MO for orders. EXCELLENT used Otis King Model K Boxed Sets, with original Carbic UK manuals!
Otis King Model K boxed sets with manual. These have scales 423 and 414Wonderful sets with original factory box (serial number Only A0686 Left), made in England. This is the unique cylindrical rule with telescoping scales, complete with the original UK Carbic manual and black storage box. Everything is in virtually unused condition, rare for this rule type, these clearly had little or no use. This rule has the equivalent of a 66 inch scale, with resulting incredible resolution! We see very few of these sets, and rarely of this completeness and high quality, usually the paint is scratched, and the chrome badly worn. 20 Inch/50cm Slide Rule 20" Rietz format rule, with original 2-part green or black fiberboard box/case. Very good condition rules, good condition box/case. This rule has a 3 line cursor, Rietz over-range scale extensions, and blue and red engraved and filled scales. The wood rear face has a table of conversion factor scale settings, and two inset cursor windows for reading the slide reverse scales. A very nice example of a classic European large wood rule. Edges have cm and inch rulers, the slide reverse has trig scales. GREEN CASED UNIT IS SOLD, has good operating action, and excelllent appearance.  CLICK for bigger PIC! 8" Roylance Electrical Slide Rule K+E N4133S. This is one of the very few catalog special purpose rules made by K+E. This was designed to be both a general purpose rule, and a replacement for wire and electrical tables for working electrical engineers. This is a short format 8 inch mahogany rule (usually designated with a -2 suffix), and is one of the very few K+E rules with a multi-line cursor for area of a circle calculations. The top edge is an inch ruler, the back has conversion factors, plus a sight window for the rear slide scales. The set includes a very good condition, unmarked sewn leather case. The rule has special gauge marks, and bottom edge and interior scales for electrical wire gauge calculations. Serial number is 528207. It also has scales inside the body, and seating chart on the reverse, with abbreviated operating instructions on the scale areas. A very unique and visually appealing rule, it has a perfect cursor, rule and case are in excellent condition. The body appears to be made of black plastic like nylon or delrin, with laminated scales in white, yellow, black and red. (18 Major Scales, numerous minor scales, internal chart and rear diagram) |

Novotni Weight Slide Rule 13.5" paper and wood rule, in original box with manual. Very good condition, used to quickly calculate the weight of common metal shapes and sizes, very useful in metal fabricating work, and costing. The Novotni rule is one of the best examples of a fixed purpose slide rule, optimized for industry. This is an early rule from the maker. Very good condition, includes simple cloth carrying case (some stains and marks). It has individual scale settings for men and women, and factors in age, sex, time to consume a stadard liter of oxygen, height and gives percent deviation of standard metabolic rate. I think..... 12" / 10" Advanced Electronic Engineering Duplex Slide Rule NIB, Powerful and classic Bamboo duplex rules, in 2-part hardboard case, with a factory box, complete with an original HEMMI MANUAL. These rules were not seen in North America very often (REALLY too bad), but provide a wealth of specialized electronic calculations, including dB, Xc, XL, Frequency, impedance, wavelength, and a full function rule on the reverse. Very impressive rule, with self-documenting scales and quite uncommon. Dual marked scales for some functions. We get asked for this rule constantly, but have had real trouble finding them. If you are an electronics guy like me, this is your big chance! We only have a couple. The pic shows some small body marks, but we have checked every rule, and put new cursors on any with storage corrosion, and cleaned the rules. 12.5"/10" Special Purpose Full Size Slide Rule One of the most vivid looking rules ever made, this special Foxboro rule is used to calculate flow parameters and rates for liquids, steam or gas. Later versions of this rule are quite ordinary, just plastic slide charts, but this original rule is amazing! Pipe schedules are color coded for easy operation. The unusual design uses every part of the rule, both sides of the slide, inside the body and the reverse for scales and instrucions. After I got mine, it took me over a year to find another one to offer here. It's a rule you will really enjoy in your collection, or on the job doing steam or hydraulic pipe fitting.
