Now this is a lot of fun if you are as much of an RF/Microwave afficianado as I am. We have literally hundreds of pounds of extra RF and microwave bits and pieces from waveguides, filters, amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, RF assemblies of all kinds, directional couplers, attenuators, detectors, and isolators to RF project boxes and HP Pin Diode Modulators (we have a ton of these!). You name it, it's in this heap. We really need the space in this portion of the lab, so all the extra, waveguide, duplicate and unwanted bits have been tossed into a huge heap, and you can have as much or as little as you want, while it lasts. YES, we will take requests, but can't guarantee you will get exactly what you want unless you are an early player, and frankly we can't search too much for $2.50. Due to weight, consider shipping carefully, and UPS ground may be best for anything over 5kg (about 11 pounds). There is some great stuff in here, and we will do our best to make you happy if you have a preference.

A fully overhauled and cal'd set from Tek's basic bech instrument series, a CFG250 0.2Hz to 2Mhz Sine/Square/Triangle Function generator and a CFC250 100Mhz Counter. The CFG250 has sweep, DC offset and duty cycle adjustments, plus selectable level range and sync outputs, a very nice generator. The 8 digit CFC250 has a selectable low pass filter and selectable sensitivity range (with 1M input impedance) with a conventional crystal timebase. The units stack together, and have detachable (included) IEC line cords. Cosmetic condition of both units is excellent. BONUS: Includes full factory manuals (almost impossible to find!) and Tek cross-ref on CD AND Original Tek hardcopy factory short form User's Manual! A perfect addition to any RF bench, these are built to HP's classic high standards (all metal clamshell enclosure), and support an external time base standard if needed. Good time base stability (conventional oscillator), of 5 parts in 10-7 after a half hour warm up. Supports short, medium and long time bases (to 10 seconds) for optimal resolution, and has a 3 step input attenuator. Freshly cal'd to our master atomic clock. Tektronix TAS465 100MHz Rack Mount Oscilloscope Dual trace scope with Digital On-screen voltage/time display and settable cursors, plus full X/Y capability and flexible vertical modes. This is an ANALOG scope, but with many DIGITAL on screen features. Supports direct display of either trace voltage referred to any point, as well as waveform timing. Factory Rack-mount version, with 3 jumper cables for rear connections. Has Auto-Set to capture and trigger any waveform with default settings. Vertical sensitivity down to 2mV/division, plus has channel inversion and bandwidth limiting. This is the enhanced successor to the 465/B from Tektronix (but lower cost, made in Asia), and is a big improvement in terms of weight (1/3 the weight of a 465!) and is easy to carry, with loads of on screen features, including on screen readout of INDICATING PROBES. 130/140V Varistor (MOV) AC Line Surge Suppressors

These handy little devices can be installed in any Test Gear, Stereo, TV etc. after the power switch and fuse on the AC line, and then give excellent protection against line surges, transients and lightning strikes. Varistors (MOVs) dramatically drop in resistance as their break-over voltage is exceeded, and act at high power clippers for incoming signals greater than their steady state rating.

We have 3 types, physically smaller blue (7 and 14mm) Siemens S14K140 which clamps above 140Vrms/4500A PK and EPCOS (formerly Siemens) S07K130, which clamps above 130Vrms/1200A PK, and a larger red (20mm) Harris 130L20 (same as V130LA20) that clamps above 130Vrms/6500A PK. The larger disc sizes can dissipate more excess energy. These are what is inside your "protected" power bars, and you can easily add this protection to your equipment (especially to portable items) as well, and prevent all kinds of damage down the road.

High Quality, Low-Loss N-Connector/SMA LMR-195 Coax Cables These 52 inch low loss LMR-195 Times Microwave cables can be used to link up S-parameter test sets, join diplexer parts, or serve as flexible test connections or feedlines, whatever you can dream up. They are mildly flexible, and are good bench cables with very flat response (minimum artifacts) and straight loss curve. Our sweep tests show an amazing 1dB loss at 2.4Ghz, dropping to only 2dB at 4.0Ghz, still with very flat response. They work fine to 12.4Ghz (only 4dB of loss), but exhibit some minor scalloping above 4Ghz, all in all, great workhorse microwave cables. Center pins are gold on the M-Type N connectors, with all gold M-SMA connectors on the other ends. These won't last long, so grab a few for your bench, these are all very clean new production cables, bundled for use in new cell systems, but never used, mint condition. The output outlet is at the bottom of the filter, away from the wall outlet. Very similar to the TDK plug-in filter we had earlier. Remember to remove the white protective plastic cap from the plug in pins before use!

Very popular wideband sinewave oscillators from HP, cover 10Hz to 10Mhz, with typical 0.2% distortion, fully calibrated output level from -70dBm (0.1mv) to +20dBm (3.0V) at 50 ohms. The 651B supports both 50 and 600 ohm outputs, and the 652A also has expanded level setting capability. The units have a very large frequency setting dial (with moveable index for tighter cal on a specific range) and fine adjust knob, stepped attenuator (and meter range) plus coarse and fine variable level controls, and dual BNC output connectors. These are part of the 65X family, some of HP's most popular solid state sinewave sources.

Very nice sealed oscillators, run from existing +5VDC logic supplies (typ. 0.9A max current, 0.5A running), with excellent stability. Frequency is ideal for binary synthesizers, output is 1Vp-p clean sine wave on DC level (should be capacitor coupled to the next stage). CMOS internal design, with double walled thermal chamber. Frequency stability measured at better than +/- 0.5Hz after a 15 minute warm up, a very nice unit. Runs from +5VDC, for best stability, external power decoupling is recommended. Marked CTS-03, as well as 970-2129-0 and 214-1000-05. 2002 date codes, note that internal trimpot for frequency adjustment is accessible if hole at base is cleared of solder, just below +5VDC connection. Very handy to use an in inexpensive in-house check standard. A 0.5VDC drop in supply voltage (+4.5V) raised the frequency only 0.3Hz, an increase in voltage of 0.5VDC (+5.5V) lowered the voltage 0.3Hz. Ref. Every so often, we get something quite strange, and this batch of parts is exceptionally unusual, even for us. I was surprised to find a large lot of genuine space qualified parts hiding inside a large military parts buy we made, covered in JPL tracking paperwork, flight ready tags and inspection stamps. There are parts from TIROS, TIRN, TOPX, GALILEO and other JPL space projects. None of these are rejected, they are just obsolete parts, spares surplused out, and should be good to go if you are hand-making that small spacecraft in your basement, or have a Gallileo space probe that needs repair.

Sealed RF Project Case

A beautifully made, sealed cast aluminum case, with silver-gray powder coated finish from ROSE+Bopla. A custom case design with 1 female N (gold center pin), and 4 female SMA (gold center pin) connectors with independent ground attachment blocks for PC boards. A fantastic case for any kind of RF/Divider/Detector/Amplifier application, brand new in factory sealed bags. If you need to make any kind of RF accessory, you should have a look at these while they last, all have built in mounting flanges, captive lid hardware and bare bottom surfaces for optimal grouding. This is a custom version of the stock 01061200 00 case design. These are much easier to work with than the samll Pomona boxes for RF work, and already include very high quality connectors. S0157D/CYHC-42964-51, Amazingly powerful 2 inch diameter (4 inch long) 12VDC/0.18A gearmotors (approx. 1.4 rotations per second at 12VDC), with massive torque. These motors will run down to 1.8V/0.11A (with approx. 1 rotation per 12 seconds), still with torque so high you cannot stall the shaft by hand. Brush style motors with a reducing gearbox, they are excellent for all kinds of electromechanical devices, with enough rest friction to allow the motor to act as a brake on the drive shaft. There is also a tach/generator for speed control (yellow wires) which outputs approx. 9.29V/373Hz at 12VDC, and 1.2V/46Hz at 1.8V of motor drive. Red and black wires for the motor, with integral beads for RF suppression, and Faston connectors in the positive lead to allow a hash filter to be inserted. Tapped holes on both ends of the motor for attachment, and the shaft (D-flatted) is 0.25 inches in diameter by 0.65 inches long. Fully reversible, with all leads floating, draws 0.3A at 12VDC heavily loaded on the drive shaft.

Simple Interface to all kinds of robotic motor functions!

1.5A / 24VDC Bipoolar Motor Driver This chip provides direct DC motor control with 4 operating modes (2 logic line control) FORWARD, REVERSE, STOP and BRAKE. TTL level logic control, easily interfaced to switches, logic or microcontrollers, and 2 floating motor pins with suppression diodes, thermal, over-voltage and over-current protection. H-bridge design provides motor reversal with only a single power supply (typ. 6-16VDC) and motor braking function. Speed control can be achieved by combining a PWM signal with forward/reverse logic commands. A great way to control all kinds of small DC motors, works great with the motor above. This can be run from 24 to 11VDC (or even less, but fan speed suffers). The fan is fixed at 12V or less (via the regulator), and has an integral fault alarm if it becomes stalled, which sounds a loud acoustic transducer. A very handy assembly, this has input power leads with TYCO FASTON double connectors that allows a second connection to each lead. Very well made, and easily disassembled if the alarm is used separately from this fan, as it should work with almost any 12V fan that has a tach output. This assembly would be perfect to ventilate and cool a constantly charging 12V battery pack in a UPS or similar system.
