SHIPPING: Canadian ExpressPost (NOT regular mail, this is like US Global Priority/Courier) Rates: To USA destinations, shipping and packing minimum of $23 for any insured, trackable air shipment up to 1kg (typical delivery within 5 business days), Canadian destinations are typically $10-14 (delivery within 2-3 business days). It is also possible to ship uninsured, untracked, small packets (250g max.) for roughly $12-14 to the USA, but delivery delays can be up to 8 weeks according to the US Postal Service, and so we cannot recommend it. Virtually all of our shipment failures have been because of this method, so it should be used with caution. We have an extraordinarily good success rate (better than 99.9%) with ExpressPost, so we highly recommend it, especially for one-of-a-kind items. It is cheaper than couriers, trackable, more reliable, fully insured and goes almost everywhere.  BRAND NEW, mint condition 310/87 Duplex Projection Rule Set display cased projection rule set with factory multi-lingual operating manual and accessory projection scale/cursor. This set looks virtually untouched (much better than the pics can easily show) with the exception of some torn tissue paper packing, and has been in storage in the UK since it was originally made in Germany. You will be very pleased with this set, it is truly beautiful and is a delight to use. This is the equivalent of the Rietz 111/87 rule, converted to an overhead projection system with full duplex operation (it re-creates the scales a second time with the slide reversed), including all the cursor lines! The rule is self documenting on right hand side for all scales. it also includes a second enlarged projection scale/cursor section to allow detailed explanation of scale resolution. Note that no manual for the rule scale set per se is included, but we will provide a copy of the /87 scale set on request. We have only this one set, there is a 52/82 version available as well. (RH)

Commerce/Business rules are not very common in North America, but were widely used in Europe. It is set up to do Mark-up/Discount, simple and compound interest, currency and common unit conversions and all the normal math functions, plus log log scales on the slide reverse. Versatile plastic body rule with 2 line cursor, accessory ruler/data strip, and a 27cm ruler along the top edge. The body back is blank.  BRAND NEW, excellent condition Staedtler 544 LL AV Projection Rule Set display cased projection rule set with English/German factory operating card. This set looks virtually untouched (much better than the pics can easily show) with the exception of some crumbling 35+ year old tape on the rear side (whose function is unclear to me, but probably to elevate the scale back to prevent scratches, and should be cleaned off and replaced), and has been in storage in the UK since it was originally made in Germany. I had never seen a projection rule from Staedler before these came along, this is a very uncommon set. You will be very pleased with this set, it is very sophisticated, truly beautiful with center accent green slide tint and is a delight to use. This is the equivalent of the 544LL Log Log Rule, converted to a duplex overhead projection system including all the cursor lines and colored slide! The rule has log log scales, extended trig scales, and is self documenting on right hand side for all scales. It also includes a second enlarged projection scale/cursor section to allow detailed explanation of scale resolution. We can provide a similar operating manual reprint from Staedtler, but there is none included with the set. 12"/10" 544 A Simplex Slide Rule BRAND NEW, NIB, beautiful rule, complete with 2 part plastic case and factory box. The 544A features the trademark S/M blue slide and body braces, multi-line (5 line) cursor, plus two color (red/black) scale markings, and folded scales. The rule is self documenting on the right hand side for all scales. Staedtler-Mars rules are highly requested but quite uncommon in North America, and are very well made designs. Attractive blue slide and body braces, complement the bright blue and white two part plastic case. The folded scales are especially useful for mark-up/discount calculations, and a center index is well marked for this. The 'invisible brace' style with braces on the back gives the rule a very clean European look from the front. Blank on the reverse side. We have included reprints of the S/M consolidated rule instructions because these came factory packed with no instructions. 12"/10" BiScholar Slide Rule NEW, Factory Boxed. Sets have the two part white and red plastic case, and english instructions. The rule has a 4/2 line slightly magnifying cursor, plus two color (red/black) scale markings with yellow accent stripes on the basic slide scales. The 0906 rule has Folded Scales, expanded S, ST, T1 and T2 trig scales, plus the P Pythagorean scale, and uncommon DI and BI scales for speedier settings. Quite a nice set of useful scales. Self documenting on the right hand side for all scales, this rule is easy to learn. A very nice student rule and case. BRAND NEW, mint condition 2/83N Novo-Duplex display cased rule sets with factory English manuals and accessory rulers. These sets include the rule, clear/green case, accessory ruler and english language manual. These sets look virtually untouched (much better than the pics can easily show), and have been in storage since they were orignally made in Germany. You will be very pleased with these, they are mint condition by any standard. I really like this rule, and these sets are exceptional, a wonderful gift for that rule fanatic you know, or for your kids as a real keepsake treasure. The display case has a front FC logo, and stores the manual, and accessory ruler inside. This rule is variously marked Novo-Biplex (mainly for sale outside Germany), and Novo-Duplex, these sets all say Novo-Duplex. Everything has been inspected, cleaned and polished, for the best possible appearance. We paid a very high price to get these sets, so they are expensive, but you will not find them in better condition anywhere.

Uncommon Full Sized Duplex Logarex Rules Just Arrived from Europe!
10" Log Log Duplex Slide Rule VERY LATE MODEL, made in Czechoslovakia (by Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth). Powerful, brand new full sized rule with red and black scales, 6 log log scales, split trig scales, pythagorean and folded scales (at pi, with an extension to 3), and 4/2 line cursor. Fully self-documenting on the right hand side of the scales, and features green accent stripes on the base scales (one side). Has a 2 part white plastic case with Logarex embossed into the case. A very powerful and well-designed rule, equal to the K+E 4181-3 and Post Versalog 1460, if not better, but uncommon in North America. It is a full sized companion to the pocket Exponent rule 27205 we have in the Pocket section. The detailed and well illustrated english instruction manual is included. FC Classic Sets, Just Arrived! 12"/10" Full Size System Darmstadt Mannheim Slide Rule. Faber's advanced Mannheim rule, widely used in Europe, and a real classic. Includes the hard to find factory English manual and clear/green compact display case! This rule has a visible wood core, with white celluloid faces, black and red filled and engraved scales, plus 2 side cursors and scale sets. This is a very unusual design, with a complex 3-sided, 7 line cursor, and is the final (late) version of this rule. Has the Rietz over-range scale extensions, plus the Pythagorean scale (P), side log scale on top, and side sine and tangent scales at the bottom. Slide reverse has 3 log log scales (ex). Scales are self documenting on the right side. Celluloid 3 line cursor. This rule has has a blank back, with 2 rear cursor windows for the 3 log log scales on the slide reverse, and bevelled side cm ruler. Enjoyable to use, and lovely to look at, every surface has been used to do something useful. Older models had formulas and factors on the back, this late rule has a complete accessory ruler included (cm and inch) with the factor data on it. Pic is one of the actual rules offered. 10" Mecanica Slide Rule This rule is marked in Italian, and is one of Nestler's special purpose simplex rules, BRAND NEW, with chocolate brown leather case. I honestly do not know the true function of this rule, possibly for reinforced concrete and related mechanical design, if you know more, please let us know! The rule has a very unusual construction, with 3 SIDED cursor operation, and a glass front cursor. The rule has some standard scales with special gauge points and factors, and a very unusual edge log scale tied to the first half of the bottom A/B scales, and a pair of 4-decade scales, quite an usual design. A wonderful older style wood body rule, with literally every possible optional mechanical feature. This is a beautiful rule design, very skillfully executed, in mint condition. We will include a reprint of the full 16 page Nestler Darmstadt/Rietz Manual but have no info on the special scales or points yet, will keep trying to get some. (English). Just got some info on this rule: Hi Walter, I noticed his very uncommon slide rule with Italian captions, so I try to give you some hints about its purpose. Unfortunately, I could not make out all of the words from the photo on the web site, however there are enough indications to at least guess the kind of operations it was intended to perform. I think this is a rule devoted to the computation of times in mechanical operations, like cutting plates, lathing, planing etc.. Some key words hint at this: Prof. di taglio on the left can only be profondità di taglio, or depth of cutting Largh. lastra should mean Larghezza della lastra, or plate width Veloc. di taglio m/min. stands for velocità di taglio in m/min., or cutting speed in metres per minute Avanzam. has to do with advancing th in min. should some time interval (th) in minutes. On the top edge, I see Tornitura that means lathing, Piallatura meaning Planing. So I guess the basic operation this rule was used for, was determining the time required to perform some of the operations mentioned before, given thicknesses, widths, machine speeds etc. or the other way around (how much work can be accomplished in a given time, under certain conditions). I also see an STI logo on the leather case, I don’t recall this as being a familiar logo in the rule world, so maybe –but this is really a conjecture- the rule was part of the documentation to run some kind of machine, a sort of specialized tool to accompany the manual for some lathe or other machine. 10" Darmstadt Slide Rule VERY LATE MODEL, made in Czechoslovakia.
