The HP 8981B vector modulation analyzer (and HP 8780A/8782B vector signal generators) can be used to adjust and troubleshoot I/Q modulators, demodulators, and I/Q modulated signals used in digital mobile radio, microwave radio, and the transmission of digital video. The analyzers can be connected to the I/Q outputs of a demodulator in a receiver, or to IF test points. Once connected, the 8981B displays constellations, EYE diagrams, and vector diagrams of digital modulation formats such as QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM, and 256QAM. The analyzer also makes statistical measures of system quality such as closure, lock angle error, and quadrature error. Through these “constellation analysis” techniques, transmission quality can be measured and monitored to detect degradations in the transmission link before link bit error rates reach unacceptable levels.

Used to determine if the insulation under test will withstand the test voltage applied, the 1101-2.5 is well suited for testing to basic hipot applications for quality related activities. This unit is essential in reducing rework form product failures.

Used for higher energy applications, AC and AC/DC High-Pot Testers available from Megger are designed for safety and ease of operation, and readily adapt to development, maintenance or production testing. This is the 0-3kVAC model.
Test voltage is continuously adjustable from zero to full output, with a zero-start interlock. Leakage current trip level may be adjusted from 0.3 to 12 mA by a front-panel knob. Pushbuttons are provided to select one-second or continuous testing, to turn off the high voltage and to reset the instrument. All high-voltage connections are recessed to prevent accidental contact with high voltage.
During testing, high voltage will automatically shut down within 50 ms of arcing or exceeding the preset trip level. Visual and audible alarms alert the operator upon failure.
The instruments also feature an interlock that prevents the high voltage from being applied if the supply ground wire is open or if the hot and neutral wires are interchanged. A Tester Grounded lamp lights to confirm the instrument is connected to a properly grounded power source.

The 1687B is a microprocessor controlled, automatic LC meter. It measures L, C, X, or B, and R, G, D, or Q, and simultaneously displays the reactive and loss components of the device under test. The applied AC test signal is nominally 10, 100, or 1 000mV at 1 MHz. A DC voltage of up to 60 V can be applied through a rear-panel jack to bias a capacitor under test.
