Display functions all work, lots of brightness, but did not test the inputs, so as-is. I intended to use this as an audio display for my stereo, but didn't find a manual, and the project got sidetracked, now it can be your experiment! CRT is free of burns or marks, appears to be magnetic deflection type. Has a selectable sweep speed (all slow) in the control section. AAC 1004-series AC Current Sensors These are clean, used, non-contact sensors that can sample AC current through a conductor, and output a DC voltage (5VDC full scale for each range), they are rated for nominal 400HZ lines. They require no external power, and have side solder terminals (covered with silicone, easily removed). I also tested them at 60Hz, and they also work there, but a bit degraded, running at full current might overheat them, just not sure. I can only test at 1A. Still current production at AAC, no pun intended. We have these types, test data is for 1A at the frequency shown (N/T means not tested):

Technetium/Pale Horse Designs 50mm Slide Rule Coins Brand NEW, in presentation packages!. The great creation from Technetium and Pale Horse Designs is now BACK at the SRU. We have made some color changes to improve the visibility and appearance, and had custom presentation cases made for them. They are now in stock for a limited time, and one or both can ship cheaply in a small padded bag. You can see the detailed info on the new design HERE. One coin is blue and nickel plated, one is satin gold and silver finish with a jade accent. There's only 1 run of 40 of each style available, and when they are gone, that's it. It has been almost 2 years since we last had these, and it is very difficult and costly to set up the foundry and tooling for these runs, so don't miss out this time. They are incredibly beautiful to look at and amazing to touch, with a working slide rule on the face (the two outer scales are C and D, the innermost is a Log Log scale, and smith chart on the reverse. These 50mm diameter coins are heavy and thick (5mm), not a flimsy plastic item, but a solid metal good luck piece or pocket fancy you will enjoy for a long time. Originally designed as Geocaching coins by Dutch Geocacher Technetium, they are a truly unique slide rule item. The core is die cast zinc alloy to achieve the high detail, with either gold or silver toned plating, or nickel plating, depending on the design. The inner triangle design is Sierpiski's fractal triangle. You can get a set of both coins, or just one, as you wish. The presentation box has a viewing window, and each coin is surrounded by a die cut foam holder to protect it. These look nice displayed on a desk in our small slide rule stands. Can generate coherent (phase synchronized) outputs for some frequency pairs, 20MHz is the maximum frequency possible, even at the rear X2 outputs. RS232/422 outputs seem to be the same frequency at those elevated signal levels. VFD display and keyboard for entry, frequencies can be stored for each generator. We have two nice 436A RF Power Meter, marked opt. 002 (Unit A), but in fact has option 022 (GPIB) installed. The opt. 002 marked unit (A) also has a second sensor input connector at the rear. The GPIB function is not tested as I have no way to do it, so as-is. All sensors from the 848x series can be used with these meters. Both 436A's cal great, and are working well, with one exception, both have sticky meters (the tiny worthless $2 imported meter hp put there for peaking). I have never used that function even once, so it's not an issue for me, but you may want to open it up and try and make the meters work better, I don't recommend it. It is not sticking from static charge, it's mechanical. In addition, I have two new 11730A sensor cables, and ONE 8484A high sensitivity 18GHz sensor (-20 to -70 dBm) and the companion 11708A 30dB cal attenuator. Factory manual for the 436A power meter is HERE, and the 8484A sensor is HERE. App note AN64-1 on power measurement is HERE. A cable or cable and sensor can be supplied with either meter, but not by itself. The sensor is shown working, be aware it is easily damaged by static discharge (ground the sensor/meter to the test item before use) and excessive power, its maximum input is -20dBm. No refund or credit will be provided if the sensor is damaged through mis-use, it should normally be operated with an in-line attenuator (typ. 30dB) if power up to +10dBm is to be measured. | Harvesting critical parts | Harvesting needed parts is not so easy or cheap. To get some of these items, a complete, largely WORKING unit of considerable value has to be sacrificed, in good enough condition that the parts are still useful. Then, lengthy disassembly and de-soldering is required, followed by clean up and testing. A lot of hours get expended just to provide a few small parts needed to revive that instrument of yours that you want to keep working. Often, this process is the only remaining way to get vendor-specific repair parts today. I only mention all this because not everyone understands the process that has to take place to get that tiny repair part you want, and cannot fathom why we would actually want money for those parts as a result. |

HP Red Snap Switches with 5/16" Buttons Hard to find, these are clean, used, tested HP designed PCB pushbutton switches. They have had very little use, and are still crisp acting. Lighted buttons have an integral fiber-optic light pipe that takes light from a PCB mounted LED to the front of the button, the LED is not part of the switch. The spring-loaded gold contact fingers touch corresponding PCB pads to form the switch. Mounting is achieved by melting the red posts to form a retaining seal at the back of the PCB or by using two dabs of 5 minute epoxy at the mounting holes. This RF generator is prone to switch failure due to the many switch operations needed in normal operation, here's your chance to get some spares. Wiltron 610D Microwave Sweeper Scales Like HP's 8620 sweeper, Wiltron required mechanical scales to be inserted into their 610D sweeper/generator units to match the plug-in used. The tough part is that scales are almost impossible to find (and never seem to come with a plug-in purchase), and due to their design (white text on a clear background), a real nightmare to try and make. Luckily, we have the fix at hand, a nice stock of minty looking scales that we used to use on our own 610D's in years past, and saved. Take any 5 scales for $39. M83237/2-46 5VDC BITE Indicators These tiny magnetic indicators are non-volatile magnetic status indicators for BITE (Built In Test Equipment) functions, usually in high end military/aerospace systems. This high end military version has 5VDC (4-6V) SET and RESET coils with built-in steering diodes and an anti-glare surface. When un-tripped, they are all black, when momentarily activated (takes 1W), they switch to the nuclear flag pattern shown. They have to be reset electronically to clear the flag. 30mm Lab Fixturing Clamps Beautifully made black anodized aluminum fixturing clamps, designed to grip a 30mm rod or pipe. The clamping screw (to tighten to the pipe or rod should be M4 and 25-30mm long. The base grip is an M8 tapped hole (steel insert), so a cap head M8 bolt of roughly 20-22mm length would work depending on what is attached.   NEW Powerful DC gearmotor custom made for Diebold by Igarashi Motor Sales USA, based on the N2732 27mm motor core and a 33mm diameter gearhead (33GN2732 series). Amazingly powerful for such a small motor, the gear ratio provides very high torque. Exact data is not known, but measurements show it seems to a ~9VDC motor at 0.13A (no load, ~100RPM) and runs down below 5VDC (5VDC at 0.08A (no load, ~50RPM), and up to 12VDC at 0.28A (no load) with no difficulty. Fully loaded mechanically, the current is roughly double. The drive shaft is a flatted 5mm steel shaft. See full dimensions HERE. They are excellent for all kinds of electromechanical devices, with enough rest friction to allow the motor to act as a brake on the drive shaft. Tapped holes (3 x 3mm) on the gearhead face ends of the motor for attachment. Fully reversible, with all leads floating, it has a 2mm mating connector, and the Tyco pc mounting 2mm connector is INCLUDED. Like all brush DC motors, some L/C filtering is useful to prevent interference with other parts of the circuit. New and unused, ready for your application!
