 General Radio Test Equipment

General Radio / GenRad Equipment: General Radio was one of the first RF and Test Equipment manufacturers, and produced a wide range of other unique items including low loss connectors, bridges, audio wattmeters and standard reference components. We sometimes get used or new GR items to list here. There quality is exceptionally high, and the equipment is very rugged and well constructed. NAVIGATION: To make your life easier, and help you find exactly what you want, we have broken the on-line equipment catalogs into smaller sections. Just CLICK on the item you are looking for at the left, to see the matching catalog. Large graphical catalogs are a bit SLOW, so please give them a bit of time to load. The top header of each catalog is largely the same, so don't think you are stuck in one place!
You can order anything here just by picking up the phone, and calling (250) 769-1834 during normal office hours, 8:30AM to 4:30PM PST, or FAX to (250) 769-4106. OR, Email your order to Susan  E-Mail Susan if you want a quote for shipping to other destinations, or for something heavy. Sorry, we can't safely send most individual small parts in a regular letter envelope, they get destroyed by the automated handling equipment. Sometimes we can ship very rugged parts in a small padded envelope by letter post. Ask Susan.There is a packing charge for large or heavy equipment, see the FAQ for details.If we have your valid data on file, you can just click on the ORDER email link to place an order and indicate your approval to bill, and we will do the rest.  CONDITION: To answer your questions, YES, we completely check and inspect all used equipment, and do not offer any we feel is substandard. That gear is normally scrapped, broken down for parts, or may get offered as-is in the HOT DEALS section, with the unit's condition clearly identified. If there are any marks or detracting features, we clearly state them in the listing. Before shipment, we burn in the equipment for 24 hrs. again and re-check to be sure it is good prior to shipment.

1381 Random Noise Generator |
Random Noise Generator from GR, generates truly random noise (long life solid state source, not vacuum tube source) into a 600 ohm load (3mV to 3VRMS), with the ability to symmetically clip the signal at 2, 3, 4, or 5 times the set rms amplitude, or leave the signal unclipped. Upper frequency bandwidth (at 3dB point) can be set to 2KHz, 5KHz, or 50KHz, scope pictures show the range of noise waveforms possible, the lower frequency limit is 2Hz. Ideal for random vibration testing, and audio/noise filtering tests.  Excellent condition, calibrated.

General Radio 1863 Megohmmeter High performance portable General Radio Megohmmeter, with selectable 50V, 100V, 200V, 250V and 500V test excitation, capable of very high resistance measurements, in the 10 Teraohm range at the highest test voltage. Collapses into a compact, fully protected travel package, and has a HV warning light when high voltage is at the test terminals. Fully overhauled and calibrated, excellent condition. Built-in discharge function for the test sample, so it can be used with capacitors and coax cables.

Resistance Standard Elementfrom GR, these temperature stable resistance standards are great shop references, or to use for decade box repairs, etc.. These are factory sealed new parts, and measure exactly 1.000K each, with heavy flat leads. Presumably at least 0.05% accuracy, but I cannot find any catalog frefence to these parts in GR literature. Mint condition, factory packed new parts.
