These are the various Nixie Tubes we have on hand from Burroughs, National (Wang), Raytheon, NEC, Amperex, Philips, Numitrons from RCA, and even Panaplex neon displays from Beckman/Sperry. To save you some frantic email, YES! we DO have sockets in stock at this time, but keep in mind many of these are solderable types if you are experimenting or making clocks, and of course, for repairs and retrofits, the socket is already there. We have some new (NOS) and some pulls  available. All Nixies have good or excellent element visibility, and none have blackened fronts. We are very picky about what we buy and sell, you can be sure these are worth having.Lots of new NIXIE data just added for your reference. Please note that over-current makes the tubes blacken, and seriously shortens tube life, limit average current to 2.5-3mA for most tubes. National vertical style tubes comparison. Jumbo NL-807 on left, NL840 (and all others, 800, 900, etc.) on right. Jumbo tube digits are 7/8 in. high x 1/2 in. wide (similar to the circular 6091/8423). Standard tubes are 5/8 in. high x 3/8 in. wide (similar to the circular and oval 8421/8423). The difference in illuminated area is virtually double. K155ID1 / 74141 Nixie Tube Drivers Russian Nixie DriversThese plastic DIP ICs are the Russian equivalent of the popular (but now unavailable) TTL 74141 driver, which supports display blanking for numbers above 9, which is very useful in many circuits with multiplexing and where blanking is desired for cosmetic reasons. It can also replace earlier non-blanking 7441 drivers with no circuit changes in most cases (above 9, the 7441 alternates between 8 & 2 and 9 & 3 illuminated togther, the 7441A begins again with 0-5 at BCD 10-15). These are excellent quality, late production parts, all in new factory trays. This part is sometimes described by other numbers, as the cyrillic characters can also be read K155UD1, etc. These parts translate 4 line BCD inputs to 10 open collector (0-9) HV cathode driver outputs, very convenient for clock designs. We use this driver in our own clock kits. Positive logic, ABCD high inputs (low to high order) drive the outputs LOW to the equivalent value, 0-9. For example ABCD=1000=Display 1, ABCD=1010=Display 5, etc. The maximum tube supply voltage should not exceed +200V, +170VDC is optimal for most tubes. | $3.50 each 6/$18 |

The lit image is at only +140VDC, rated voltage is +170VDC , and a 47K series resistor, its rated current is 1.5mA. The digit height is only 9mm, the overall width is approx. 5/8 inch (19mm). The dimensional diagram is in millimeters. Great for Nixie Wristwatches, and seconds displays on larger clocks. These are classic tubes from the old soviet union (marked CCCP), new old stock. These test very well, great looking digits, and very bright. The lit images are at +170VDC (the rated voltage, but it will run much lower), and a 47K series resistor, the tube runs well out to about 82K, its rated current is 1.5mA. The digit height is only 9mm, the overall width is approx. 1/2 inch (14mm). The dimensional diagram is in millimeters. Great for Nixie Wristwatches, and seconds displays on larger clocks. The Anode (pin 1) is very easy to identify, it has white insulation inside, and is at the edge of the pin gap. The silicone base insulator can be removed for a more compact assembly, but it will then leave the bottom glass seal exposed. Some have shiny anodes, some matte, if you order multiple tubes, we will bundle like tubes together as much as possible. They look the same illuminated.

Perfect for adding some interest to homebuilt clocks, as they have 4 interesting symbols, Spiral, Sine Wave, Plus and Minus! Bottom spacer, +170VDC/2mA supply typical. Z560M WF GERMAN TUBES These red-filtered tubes are a physically larger envelope than the very common Burroughs 5092/8421 or ZM1020, but are pin and function compatible. These are all NEW tubes, excellent condition! Standard size digit top view tubes, they have a glass filler at the bottom (requires a euro standard 13 pin circular socket with a center hole). These are classic tubes from Germany, mint condition, all 100% tested. These test very well, great looking digits, and very bright, with an integral red contrast filter (can be removed by soaking in hot water), same tube as Z5600M, but with added red filter. The lit images are at +170VDC and a 22K series resistor, its rated typical current is 2mA. The pins are tinned, appear to be solderable for the very brave, note the individual pins are slightly smaller in diameter than US made B- 5092 types, and are loose in a US made socket. The digit height is 5/8 inch, width is 1 1/8 inch.

 Uses standard 13 pin round sockets (in stock) Great NEW giant vertical view tubes, with red contrast filter. Made by PHILIPS, but are bulk tubes, individually wrapped with the pin protectors installed, have only the batch code (1321T) printed on the tubes. Large quantity just available, these fit the new 13 pin PC mounting sockets we have, note that they require a small depression in the center to clear the tube seal closure. CLICK HERE to see another lit digit. The red coating comes off easily when soaked in hot water, rubbed or hit with any solvent, so be careful when cleaning the tubes! 
These nixies fit the same 13 pin circular socket as the more common 8421/5092A, but the pinout is different, see the data sheet to the left for details. The common anode is the same, but pin assignments are offset by one digit relative to the 5092A. Z5600M GERMAN TUBES These clear tubes are a physically larger envelope than the very common Burroughs 5092/8421, but are pin and function compatible. Standard size digit horizontal view tubes, they have a glass filler at the bottom (requires a standard 13 pin circular socket with a center hole, we can provide new PC mating sockets, pre-drilled for $4 each). These are classic tubes from Germany, like new condition pulls, all 100% tested. These test very well, great looking digits, and very bright, same tube as Z560M, but no red filter. The lit images are at +170VDC and a 22K series resistor, its rated typical current is 2mA. The pins are tinned, appear to be solderable for the very brave. The digit height is 5/8 inch, width is 1 1/8 inch. These tubes have very attractive, true form characters, fantastic appearance for clocks!. The hexagonal front anode has a very nice unique, high-tech appearance, same as the Mullard tubes. | $17 Ea. |

NIXIE 8423 / B-6091 |
BURROUGHS Jumbo Top view, great for large display clocks, etc. Same 13 pin socket/base and pin-out as the standard 5031/5092/8421, but significantly larger digits. The lit digit size is 0.8", inside 1.2" glass, this is the biggest horizontal view numerical display we have. Burroughs called it a SUPER Nixie. Excellent condition, old production inventory stock from the 70's we just bought, unused and perfect. Every tube is fully tested and inspected, all guaranteed to work properly! Most have some of the printing rubbed off due to handling. We even have sockets for them now! A great chance to get some large tubes for that special clock you have been planning, and these still need only +170VDC (although slightly higher produces a better image.
