PPM Inc. PPM R1M-B Megohmmeter 500V CLICK for bigger PIC! Made in USA	PPM Inc. R1M-B Megohmeter JUST ARRIVED! The used, but fully overhauled and cal'd meters are an exceptional value! These rugged US made units are built to military MILT-T-28800 Type III, Class 3, Style E standards for environments as tough as shipboard and severe environmental field operation. They are beautifully made inside, and fully sealed at the board level to withstand harsh conditions. The unique design of the R1M-B allows insulation resistance to be measured safely in potentially LIVE circuits, as it automatically checks for voltage (AC or DC) first (and lights a red LED warning indicator if found), and can safely handle up to 600V inputs. If no voltage is seen, it automatically reverts to megohm mode, and applies a 500VDC (+/- 10%) test voltage, allowing a 1-199.9 Megohm resistance range. Just one test button operates the unit, and all functions are then automatic, with a 3 1/2 digit LCD display with lo battery indication. Full scale is 199.9 megohms. Test voltage is limited to a 1mA current, but this can still be a painful shock at 500VDC, so use care when operating. Power is by an internal 9VDC battery. Full factory data sheet is HERE. Everything is in very good condition, these are later generation electronic versions. One is complete, one is missing the fold over carry handle (less expensive).
